Yuseli Medina - Mar Vista Student - Finalist in Mexican Consulate 12th Annual Chidren's Art Contest. Yuseli was recognized for being one of the sixteen finalists from over 6,00 entries world wide in the Este es mi Mexico (This is My Mexico) Mexican Consulate 12th Annual Children's Art Contest. Her artwork will form part of a 2009 calendar and will be part of an exhibit that will travel throughout the world. She received an award of $1,500.

Ocean View School District is located just north of the beautiful Santa Monica/Malibu area, and extends north-ward to the outskirts of the city of Oxnard. The district covers an area of 80 square miles which includes the Point Mugu Naval Air Station as well as 15 miles of lovely Pacific shore line.
